    Hi!
My name is Beckie and I am a Norfolk-reared (UK) Copen lover!

I have got a 659CC 2004 silver Copen with red leather interior. His name is Horace. There have been a few touch-ups on the bonnet that aren't over clean and the leather on the driver's seat is a bit scuffed, so I plan to do some work on him and hope to post about how everything goes and any recommendations I learn along the way.

I also plan to add a boot rack for some extra luggage space, and hope to save up and have him sprayed a new colour. I love how Copens have a very classic feel to them and hope to run with that feel with any modifications I make.

So far we have replaced the battery, had a tyre repaired and done a small amount of rust-proofing to the sills and under side just to get him through the winter. I plan a full clean up and rust proof when the summer comes. We have ordered some new brake pads which we will hopefully receive and fit over the next few days.

I'm very excited for my journey with my Copen and am very glad that there is this lovely forum to help me along the way!

Hi, welcome to Copenworld and the beginning of your (far more expensive than you ever intended) journey with your Copen!
Copens are made to be modified and even if you are keeping in looking original - like I have - you will be amazed at what you can gradually add to improve your cars look and driving experience. Have a look at all the modification threads, and if you aren't sure ask, someone will be around to help :)

    Hello Beckie
If you want a retro look have a read of Joelow's thread at the top of the general chat forum. You probably won't do all that he has but its a great thread for ideas. The rack he has fitted looks exceptional.

Hello Beckie, a warm welcome to the forum. A nice boot rack certainly adds to the classic feel. If you are thinking of getting a fresh coat of paint... use some retro pastel colors that would give your ride a unique look and make Horace stand out from the crowd. ;)

Feel free to pop us some questions, we are all willing to share information. :)

Thank you DaG for the thread promotion! :D

Why did you post the thread in general chat instead of modifications?
Its one of the best if not the best mod's threads on the forum. You should ask Copenworld to move it.

I like the grill on your car made from expanded diamond mesh. I'm going to have a look at making something similar for my car but framing the mesh is the problem.
I still can't see how they made your frame from that fibreglass mould. Is it plastic?

Edit: should have probably asked that on your thread

Hi Beckie and welcome to Copenworld - certainly the best place for advice about Horace! You have already received pointers to different threads and ideas and as you keep us posted about what you're up to, I guarantee those will keep on rolling in.

Joelow has done some fantastic work on his ride and his 'start of a new journey' thread will certainly give you some ideas (finances allowing of course!). You will also find some great pics on his other threads of the Singapore Copen club he's in showing a whole host of colours. I always rather liked this one from a Russian Copenista who resprayed his Copen - certainly a looker: https://www.copenworld.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=1949

As far as helping the seats to look nicer I have had great success with the red Woly shoe polish which buffs up nicely. If the seats are badly scuffed the thread hiramscodd pointed you towards should help.

    Whatever, you're gonna have a barrel of fun! :D :D :D

Thanks for the compliments DaG! :D
It started off as a simple announcement that I have finally bought my own Copen. I never realised how much I would get addicated with the mods eventually and just kept updating the same thread. :)

The front Aston Martin bumper was made by the same shop too. So they used the original bumper to create the fibreglass mould for the frame. I have seen pictures of the original Kumoi frame and it seems a lot thinner. And it probably cost 3 or 4 times of mine!

PM Copenworld and ask for it to be moved to the modifications forum. Somebody searching through the mod's forum will probably miss it and it's a good thread for ideas.
