bought my first Copen a couple of months ago......super little car. i have been looking for groups, gatherings, outings, road trips...ok you get the idea.....somewhere in the south. i am in Wiltshire and most of what i have found on the net takes place up north any ideas, anyone ? please
Hi Morgarna, Welcome to Copenworld! Unfortunately, as there are not many Copens in the UK, local meets are quite rare. We have this one coming up in Birmingham in a couple of weeks (see the KKITP thread) that a lot of us try to get to - Scooty usually comes from Germany as well as a lot of us southerners! There are a few Copens in Wiltshire who are members on here so you may be able to arrange something locally - if anyone hears of anything going on it usually gets listed, I'm sure a couple of people went to the South Wales classic car show last year (my geography is rubbish but that's not too far from you is it?)
I was one of the two who went to the South Wales classic car show last year - drove down from London with Mrs OB - and it was cancelled because of floods at least MLC got to cross the Severn Bridge with style!
so it might pay to go to classic car shows next summer? i love getting out and about in my ' daisy ' ( my daughter named it...lol....she names all her cars and mine aswell.....and it would be lovely to meet up with others of the same ilk..... i might look into the German side of things, although i have never driven abroad, so should be exciting. we had some lovely weather here over the weekend, so daisy came out of the garage and had an outing, the first since she was poorly. i had to have some repairs done to her after hitting a nasty pothole several weeks ago. her hub had to be replaced ! but now she is itching to get out and about again before the weather sets in for winter, and she is tucked away in the garage again.
Hi Morgarna don't forget we have KKITP this coming Sunday. Mrs OB and I went last year and it was great fun to meet lots of other Copen owners. Why not come along with Daisy? Weather forecast looks good...see you there? OB
It will be good to meet you if you can! It is the only time in the UK that you get a lot of Copens together, it's nice to meet up and to see what others have done to their cars - the only problem is that you go home with a long wish list
