I'm a new member. Saw a Copen for the first time about 10 years ago while living in New Zealand. Only just bought one last week, a white one from 2004. Haven't driven it yet as the wheel bearings need replacing and the car needs a service. If anyone knows someone with a Copen in the Brisbane area (we've seen a yellow one here in Victoria Point) let me know.
Welcome there are a few Copens around Brissy. I've got a green one in Chermside. I regularly see a black one in Bald hills and use to see a white one around Annerley some times
I dont know yet I dont drive to work but fly .... and that takes a total of 7.5 before I am at work , I assume that our first trip in the copen will take less Next Time I am back at home the rear wheel bearings will get replaced and the fluids . We will see how far this little beast will take us
Same here - ex FIFO. Driving from Sydney to Argyle every fortnight would have made for an epic commute!
Quite a few Copens on the Gold Coast..Seen Red, White & mine is Silver. Still don't seem them that often but then I only get on a Sunday usually..
I had my first drive the rear wheel bearings needed replacement , that was an easy fix . my wife and I took it for a spin , and all smiles , We are now planning to go on a 3 week trip down to Tasmania , Any others keen ?
That's a 5000km round trip. Sure the copen would make it but would you. I love driving mine but only for a few hours at a time after that it becomes bloody uncomfortable especially on crappy Aussie roads. I must be getting old, I once did a 10000km trip into the outback in a 1977 escort. Good on you if you do it. It's beautiful down there and the Tassie roads would suit the Copen. Now I'd fly and hire a car down there. Cheaper to fly than take the ferry anyway.
It is a bit of a drive I have lived for 25 years in NZ and enjoyed that country on my motorbikes . I also have a 1000 cc bike here in OZ, but no airco on that So the plan is in the make ,,, you can join in for a few km .... I am getting old too .....
