I had my car for a mere 300km. I just got in a wreck earlier tonight. My car is totaled. I guess my roof and trunk problems don't need fixing anymore. Pretty sure the airbags just saved my life. Details don't really matter, but it was the other drivers fault and he admitted it. Anyway. I have to wait and see what insurance pays out. Not sure I am getting another copen. So if I don't! Goobye! and thanks for all the help. love(d) the site. I may see about getting the new 2014 Kopen. This one that just got totaled was a bit of headache when it wasn't amazing (ie warm and sunny and the top down). My wife and I both said a few days ago, screw buying used cars, the next time we are buying new. Well... next time is now.

Sad to see you go Rob, but I guess the main thing is that your okay. You have just confirmed my thoughts on the guys that change the steering wheel and then loose the airbag - barking... Lets hope the Kopen does happen (has it been confirmed?) Rex.
glad to hear your safe sorry to hear about the copen, I went through the same experience in Dec, I cried when I said goodbye, I got another one after thinking about more practical cars etc as it is my only car. but 5 of the most depressing hours at cargiant told me nothing else was going to make me even half as happy, so I got another.
i literally cannot talk about it, it is still raw, as it was in the end - my fault. Because the parts are so expensive the insurance company wrote it off. I was so distraught I didnt fight it and get a quote from a garage I knew. Rob - if you plan on getting the other and happen to have the original mats in the previous car - then take them with you. I was glad I did. Best of luck.
