Believe it or not there's an 09-plate 1.3 with just 32K on the clock and a year's MOT for sale on Gumtree for a stunning £3 550!!!!! Feel like nipping over the border and grabbing a bargain for myself! It was posted on 09/05/15 so if you're quick it might still be there! Funny. Ive been looking for a Copen for months and went to view the above in motherwell. Although it had been CAT C'd, (with apparently very minor damage) the guy had no photos of the damage, no receipts of repair. He didnt even have the V5 (Really???). When asked for his proof of ownership (expecting him to produce a bill of sale or invoice from the insurance company that he bought it from), he got very very very defensive and accused me of questioning his integrity, suggesting we stop the sale there and then. They say that if you feel uncomfortable at any time when buying a car then you should walk away. I did just that. Hopefully the chirpy young fecker reads this and understands he lost a cert sale due to his attitude. Then again, if the car was genuine, he would have nothing to hide. I note it is still for sale under a separate gumtree advert today. Still in N Orchard street, Motherwell. Just saying likes....
All the copens for sale in the NE are repaired write offs. There are three and they seem good deals if they are ok.
