    Morning guys,

Been keeping an eye on here for a while and enjoyed reading all the threads.

Yesterday I reserved a copen , its a lovely blue with tan leather and is gorgous. We are not due to take delivery for a week or so but so looking forward to it. I have had 2 similar cars/colour many years ago when we lived in London but now we live in frosty scotland, there are not many around if any.

From reading on here the first thing I am going to do is whip the plastic cover of the arches and get some good underseal on any other tips appreciated. Loved the look of the meet up and the cars on show looked amazing.

I will post a picture when he arrives...Arfur that is !

    Have a great Sunday!

Welcome to Copenworld! What cars did you have before? My Copen is the closest thing to drive that I've found to the MG Midget I had many years ago. There is nothing quite like driving a Copen to put a smile on your face :D:rofl:

Hi Claire, thank you. It was actually 2 copens I owned same colours etc but we lived in london at the time. When we relocated back to Scotland we brought one with us and then sold that on...moment of madness working from home car just wasn't getting used. Still working from home but miss the copen so much. The drive I remember was just great felt every bit of the road:rofl: cant wait to get this one..this is a keeper.

Rather than wait on him being trailered we decided to drive him back from worcester to scotland. Wow what an experience, we picked him up yesterday and he was so much better looking than we remembered, drove and kept up with any other traffic and loved peeps faces whe we overtook them. The amount of times we saw drivers behind us pull into middle lane to have a better look, it was a great experience. Husband is 6ft 4 and squeezed in nicely lol. looking forward to giving him the full works today and then a trip out with roof off!

Such a great story, Sunlover! Definitely worth going down to pick it up yourself and yup, with a Copen you have to be prepared to travel for the right car. Neville came from Colwyn Bay and, like you, the drive back to Cumbria was awesome! So good to hear how much you've been looking forward to re-visiting the Copen-experience; as Clare says, nothing else I've ever driven makes me grin from ear to ear.

Rusting, as you've already noted, is something that needs addressing and I totally agree that it should be one of your first jobs this summer - there are some great threads on here to help you with this (I used those when I did Neville) and all I can do is to wish you so much fun in Arfur!

P.S. Hope Sunlover lives up to the billing in Scotland!

    Thanks
Thanks,it gets even better, yesterday we went to halfords and a lovely copen was parked up, was so surprised as havent seen any over this side of Scotland, when we came out I said to hubby Im going to go over and say hi, but it was gone. Bit disappointed but went back to my car and the copen owner was walking around mine, was so nice having a chat and got a good tip on a garage for the service. We both drove off in tandem felt amazing :)
The name sunlover is to do with my love of foreign holidays lol..should be called frostbite here really!
