Bugger. Giving the Yellow Peril a bath this morning, and Number 1 Son came out to check the tyre pressures for me. I told him to open the bonnet, because he might find them on the little metal plate on the firewall (yes, I know they're in the handbook. I know that now). Forgot to put the wipers back flush with the windscreen first. So I now have a nice little scrape on the back edge of the bonnet. Not the end of the world, I know, and at least it's aluminium, but - annoying, all the same. And of course, the wiper itself, which I could have replaced fairly easily, is completely unscathed.
What a shame Pikachu. First week I had my Copen I got a horrible stonechip/dent on the front of the bonnet. Really annoying. M.
