Hi guys in the market for a kei car either a Copen or Suzuki Cappuccino. I had an S2000 and Type R and miss the jap fun. My last car was a 300bhp Fiat Coupe but in classic Italian form went wrong a lot. I am looking at the Copen and the Cappuccino as I'd like a soft top again, both cars have a turbo charger too where as the Honda Beat doesn't as I've ruled that out. How are these cars for modding and tuning? The Suzuki Cap can achieve 100+ BHP with just an ECU and exhaust upgrade using a decent map and setup. I just want a little rocket that's going to be a bit of fun and not cost an arm and a leg too run. The Caps also RWD! sway me towards the Copen peeps is 90-100 bhp achieve able easily :-D
Id doubt the cappuccino would make 100hp without at least turbo and intercooler upgrade same as the copen. The internet tends to exadurate figures. As much as I love my 660 turbo, Probably the easiest way to get that power is to buy a 1.3 copen and put a 1.5 motor in it. Then you have a cheap to run reliable car.
