Cobra alarm immobiliser.

    Alarms and immobilisers are ok until they stop working.
    Went to take the car out yesterday no alarm light flashing and no power to the ignition.
    Alarm not responding to the remote or the overide tag. Phoned Cobra tech they said the alarm was u/s and the main units can't be replaced because they have no spares. They said the only option was to have the car towed to an approved cobra installer and have a new one fitted £450+

    So decided to remove the alarm/immobiliser myself. It didn't help that to stop the car being hotwired all the original wiring has 3cm of cable removed from the cut section, plus about 10 all black cable's with no identification marks.

    Anyway, all fixed now and the car is running again.
