we are having problems with the clutch not releasing with the pedal fully on the floor, the gears crunch in but it doesn't feel that the clutch is releasing. Our local garage has adjusted the cable but this doesn't seemed to have changed anything.
The clutch was only fitted last summer with approx 30000 miles on the clock, can anyone throw any light on what the problem maybe and is this a common issue?

We love the car but this clutch issue is causing concern just now.

The car is a 2004 vivid model...

Can't help with your problem but I woukd have expected the garage to have made a further comment if adjusting didn't improve the situation.
Sounds like the cable is worn, the inner wire / cable can wear the outer sheath resulting in increased friction. If this is the case I'd expect a heavy pedal.
Have a search around, I found this but there is much more.
If its a bad cable maybe some ptfe / teflon spray lube up the sheath could help but a new cable is cheap enough.
