What a nightmare..... Followed the manual today taking off the bumper but couldn't unscrew the awkwardly placed final nut holding the headlight in place. Then tried reaching up inside the wheel arch cover... Got the light out after pinging a clip of some sort but the bulb was broken and couldn't get the broken but out. Put the whole lot back together only to get inside and realise that the part the broken bulb was in should have come out too - argh! So.... Tomorrow I'll try again, anyone done this? My main concern is how the clip holds the bulb in - it has a round side and a flat side, anyone know if the flat side should face the edge of the car or the engine?
Well, I sympathise. Changing the headlight bulb is not easy. I've done it twice and once 'lost' the bulb somewhere in the enclosure - as far as I know, it is still there! I found it is a little easier if you remove the wheel. Then I used a small mirror and a torch to take a look. Sorry, can't remember which way the bulb fitted. Good luck! Rex.
