My Copen (660 cc turbo) sometimes run only on 3 cylinders. Could changing sparks and/or spark coils help?

Is there a manual how to do that?

    Thanks and best regards

Hi Eastman, you will need to trouble-shoot the issue, and bearing in mind it might not be plugs or coil pack although they seem the obvious place to start. I don't know if the ECU computer can tell you which cylinder is the possible misfire, maybe someone else will know if that can be downloaded by an ECU computer check tool for specific codes for cylinder at issue. However changing all 4 plugs, or at least removing them and checking them, is a good first step, I did this recently to my car. Make sure you get a set of correct new iridium tip plugs first, the make/models will be listed in the forums just do a search, plenty available from ebay. To get to the plugs, remove the plastic engine top cover then you have to remove the intercooler to manifold pipe running across the top of the engine - not too hard, a few bolts and rubber pipes to undo - then remove each coil pack to get to each plug. You will need a proper long reach spark plug wrench, the plugs are down quite deep. When you remove each plug, check them for condition as that might give you a hint as to which cylinder is the misfire. The coil packs are expensive (I've not bought one but that is the impression I have) so if changing the plugs does not fix the misfire then you can buy one coil pack and swap it around to each cylinder in turn to ascertain the trouble one - when the misfire goes away then you know that was the trouble coil pack.
