brake discs

    I have just put my Copen in for MOT and I have come away £410 lighter :-(( Anyway the largest part of the bill was for the discs £160 :eek: The Turbo is now a problem though I can run the car just struggle up hills because I can't afford the turbo repair just yet oh why oh why didn't I learn to service my own car!!!

    Wow, sorry to hear about that, especially the turbo, out of interest is broken due to lack of oil changes?

    Those must be dealer prices. You can buy discs off the e of bay for £60.

    I didn't know the discs needed replacing to be honest. Once the car is totally sorted out I am going to be more thorough on checking things out!!!

    Keep your eyes pealed on eBay for Copens being broken.
    You might be able to save a few hundred on getting a used turbo.
    Ask what mileage the car has done & how often it was serviced.
