Boot open button

    Having to press the button in the central glove box has become an annoyance. Has anyone installed a different solution, I assume its only an electric control?

    It's just an electric push switch.

    You could, if you wanted, run wires from the switch terminals to anywhere else in the cabin - e.g. the plastic surround around the gears.

    you can just hold the lock/unlock button on the fob - although when looking at a car this weekend without the Daihatsu fob I couldn't quite figure that out.

    it can be done i have a aftermarket alarm system where i can hold a button and the boot pops open

    I thought every copen boot popped open when you held the unlock button?
