Hi all, I went to look at a 2006 Copen today, Yellow with red interior. I was told by the sales person that this is a known car! It has the tag cruzthecopen and can be found on instagram. Does anybody on here know the car or is the PO on here. Car comes from the Hertfordshire area of the UK. It looks very tidy, clean inside and out. Anything I should consider paying attention to if I go ahead and buy it? If I do go ahead I will return and introduce myself properly. Thanks in advance

#AFRON1 thank you for the reply, yes it was for sale, that is, was, as I have now put down a deposit. I have seen the video and instagram posts for the car and have reached out to the PO for more info. Thank you again for the reply and I look forward to interacting on here.
    Thanks, Anji

I (more my wife) owned this vehicle for 2 years around the 2015-2017 period. We drove to Essex to buy it and she loved it every mile of the way back :D We reside in Mansfield/Nottinghamshire area. It was a great fun little runner and never had any major problems with it (engine is sound).
The original radio we replaced with a Sony Bluetooth system and i think the only problem we had was the rear spoiler allowed water ingress and the seals around the windows. You've certainly made it shine a beauty and looks a treat although the chav stickers would be removed instantly lol. We used a yellow silicon sealant to plug the spoiler gap and never suffered water problems since. BUT my god the car stank of weed since the day we purchased it. POSSIBLY down to the amount of water that was pooled in the boot from the dealer when we first purchased it from them. We sold it to an irish dealer from London who drove up to buy it and ripped us off giving all the gob about how bad it was with slight rust spots around the arches. We made a loss when selling but never-the-less loves her 0 tax modern hyundai lol

Thats basically the history I can give you from that time we had it. We even had a full storm cover custom made for the size of the vehicle that kept it dry and protected from the weather.

#Nosferatu, thank you for the reply, I haven't noticed any issues in the boot, there is evidence of water ingress but the boot is dry as a bone, looks like the silicon is still working. Will check out the window seals as today it is due to rain all day! The radio is now a Pioneer double din unit and a rear parking camera is in place, it just needs to have some work done to the wiring.
ALL of the stickers have been removed, thank you:D Funny thing you saying about the weed smell, We though it had belonged to a heavy smoker, there is still that strange smell there. and that's with an air freshener in place!:worried: There are a few rust spots to sort but otherwise everything is okay. I'm looking at a pullover type cover for her but at the moment I'm using her everyday.
Thank you for responding it is nice to have some history behind the car.
