Hi, I've been thinking about purchasing a Copen and I've seen one for a price i'm willing to pay. It's got about 40K miles on the clock. Is this good for a Copen? Am I likely to encounter problems with it? All advice welcome
It's me again. 40,000 miles shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure it's had those regular oil changes. My car has just over 37,000 miles.
What age is the car? 40000 in 2 years would be a lot. As Adam said as long as the oil changes have been recorded. Also depending on it's age check the back wheel arches for rust and the exhaust tail pipes. These are all things I have had done on my 2004 version.
Mine is a 2003 and has done about 27000 - I was a bit lucky to find her two years ago with 7000 miles on the clock...
OMG! 7000 miles in 5/6 years! How could anyone resist a Copen sitting on your drive wanting to be driven in the sun with the top down.
Apparently it had spent most of that time in a barn, only being used for high days and holidays - I understand it was a wealthy girl's "toy"! She'd had it serviced at every single time interval, though, even if it had only been to the garage and back in between... I could have done worse.
