    I know it's a guy thing, but if all else fails, read the manual :eek:

    This is from the manual

    Operating condition of opening / closing switch

    The opening / closing switch can be operated only when the following conditions are satisfied. Therefore, before you operate the switch, ensure that all conditions are met.

    - The parking brake is applied;
    - The vehicle is in a stationary state;
    - The inside of the trunk is partitioned;
    - The opening cover is removed; (that will be the tonneau cover)
    - The trunk lid is closed;
    - The roof locks at two points on the right and left sides are detached;
    - The ambient temperature is above -10°c

    According to the manual, flashing light means that one of the conditions above has not been met - so the interlocks are preventing opening.

    I would also check the following:

    Battery has a good charge - I usually do it with the engine running

    Boot space is not wet - this is not an "official" requirement, but I noticed that it was a problem on mine - dried out the boot and it was fine afterwards.

    Hope that helps

    And if that doesn't work, reset the roof system by opening the boot using the button in the centre console, allow the boot to open fully, then close again.
