Could Daihatsu dealers become Great Wall dealers?

It looks like I.M Group (the ex importers of Daihatsu) will be importing Chinese Great Wall cars according to Car Dealer Magazine. And they have been looking into it for the last 10 years!!

IM's Paul Hegarty ex-operations director for Daihatsu, and now managing director of Great Wall Motor Distributors (UK) said

‘There is no link at all between our talks with Great Wall and the demise of Daihatsu in the UK.'

Not sure if it's a stitch up, but Cherrytree in Clacton told me last year they were going to be selling great wall cars ( I think they already sell chinese scooters )

Hope you don't mind Rex, I've promoted this to a front page news article, so it's moved into the News forum. :)
