    Hi,
Just a quick 'hello' from the West Midlands in the UK from someone who doesn't (yet!) own a Copen.
My wife and I are giving serious consideration to buying one for weekend / fun use (we own a much more boring Fiat Doblo for day-to-day travelling!).
At the moment, it looks as if our budget will 'limit' us to one of the older cars without the 1300cc engine. What are members' views on the two different options available?
Also, if I can be cheeky & ask another quick question?.......I am 6' 2" tall.....will I be TOO tall for the cabin?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
    welcome to the forum.
Where in the West Midlands are you? I'm in Worcester.
I own the 659 turbo engine. It was my preference over the 1.3 engine, but I am a Kei car fan.
The 659 engine has a bit less power & is thus slower. You also have to change the oil every 3000 miles.
Having said that the 659 engine is more fun to drive. High revving turbo fun.
I'm just under 6' tall. I have a bit more space on moving the seat back.
    It'll be tight though.
If your close to me your welcome to have a look at mine.

Member Waterbaby says he is 6'3", but he posted before he picked up his Copen so we don't know how he got on.

6'2" - it will be tight, but maybe if you recline the seat a little....

    Rex.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the speedy welcomes!!
'West Midlands' was, indeed, very vague. Actually, I'm just down the road in Bridgnorth.
At the end of the day I'll have to sit in one to check the ergonomics....but I can imagine that it will be snug (although all the controls should fall easily to hand!!!).
    Best regards.

    Welcome to the site!

Do let us know how you get on, I'm sure others will be interested in the results of your test drive. I'm a bit of a shorty at 5' 8", so I can't offer any advice I'm afraid!

    Hi and welcome,

Bridgnorth, not far from me! I'm just south of Wolverhampton.

Re your question to the 2 variants - my chose would be the 1300. Purely down to the service intervals.
Whatever you go for watch out for any rust - rear archers being the worst place.
5' 8'' myself so no issues for me.

    Enjoy.

    Hi All,
I'll report back as soon as I've had a chance to try one out.
(Thanks for the offer of having a look at your machine Adam K but, hopefully, my wife & I will be test-driving one soon).

    Hi All,
Just to let you know that if you're 6' 2" tall you CAN fit in a Copen.
My wife & I went to see one today (sadly not in the greatest condition!)....but the good news is that I can fit in comfortably.
    Take care.

    Hi All,
Just to let you know that my wife & I are now the proud owners of a 2007 1.3 steel grey Copen with the red leather interior pack......worth the wait!

The salesman who took me on my test drive in mine was 6' 1" and had no trouble. He WAS skinny though - not wanting to ask a personal question here...
